I don’t remember the exact process but I ran Linux on computer A and windows on computer B. I installed windows onto a second drive on computer B and set Virtual box on computer A to use that drive as its boot drive over the network. I then shared the primary drive as well so I could boot computer B into either Windows install and run the other as a VM on Computer A.

I have no idea why I did this but it worked and no one was impressed.

I use it to help with programming and writing. Not as a way to have something so it for me but as something that can show me how to do something I am stuck on or give me ideas when Im drawing a blank.

Kinda like an interactive rubber duck. Its solutions arent always right or accurate but it does help me get past things I struggle with.

You are in the denial phase of deleting your Facebook account.

That’s one of the things it does… connect to your Mac and get big virtual monitors for it. Major selling point imo

100% switching to whatever the fork ends up being.

I think we can agree that both methods would be effective

It needed to be like 4 hours longer to capture the feel of the book. Some of the actors didn’t have the range to pull off all their parts which caused some sequences to fall flat. It’s still good though, I remember hearing a lot of positive things about it.

This is one of my comfort movies. I really wish it had done well and I feel like the marketing team dropped the ball on it. The whole bureaucracy navigation montage was a fun ride.

Seeing it in the theater as a kid was wild. I was confused but I loved it. I could tell it wasn’t Nintendos Mario Bros but it definitely has its own charm.

I really like that movie too. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen it and now I want to watch it again

Interesting lamp (lemmy.world)
submitted 9 months ago by Dagamant to c/[email protected]

Found this lamp at a family friends house. It has speckles of custard glass and a painted on sticks and berries pattern.

The collection right now, sorry I don’t have it lit up but it’s a bunch of little nicknacks, amberina glass, custard glass, and of course Uranium glass… and one piece of selenium glass.

We went to one of those antique malls where a bunch of people set up booths and started blacklighting things. Most of what we found was way over priced but these dishes, tucked away on a bottom shelf in the back corner of a booth jumped out in the black light.

Turns out it is an almost complete set of Macbeth Evand CHINEX princess dinnerware. Its missing the bowls, salad/berry bowl, and several tea cups. The whole stack was $40. The pttern on some of the smaller plates is pretty worn but we still consider this one of our best finds.
