Sì! Però adesso tramite risposte e pazienza dei vari utenti, ho capito questa cosa e mi godo anche di più Lemmy!

I've been donating to the Wikimedia foundation regularly since 2016 since I believe it's a resource everyone should have access to.

The Wikipedia is not perfect but, for several topics, it's a great starting point or recap. I've used it for science related queries and, even if the style is not uniform and some entries are hard to read, it is an amazingly useful project which doesn't get old (and the phone app is fantastic)

Pizza did come after fire and wheel, but it is, of course, more important of them as it is encapsulating the concepts of "fire" in its forging and "wheel" in its shape.

I managed to find the "missing" communities using a different app (Liftoff in my case)

I'm not sure how fast Lemmy is growing, but it seems to be evolving at a faster pace (and most instances are keeping up to date)

Grazie! Avevo installato Jerboa, Connect, Liftoff e Sync però ognuno di loro ha qualcosa che fa bene e altre male e poi mi sono impigrito ad usarne solo due, però non dovrei farlo.

Effettivamente, ogni app ha le sue potenzialità e quella della ricerca fa schifo su Jerboa, di cui però.i piace più l'interfaccia per leggere un post (ma non molto per cercare tra le comunità in cui sono iscritto)

Attualmente, tutto Lemmy sta impazzendo per Sync, ma anche quello non l'ho trovato perfetto...

Vorrei che ci fosse RIF per Lemmy, ma per ora è ancora una giungla (ma forse devo accettarlo così, il fediverse stesso è una rete di diverse istanze collegate, quindi è anche strano che ci sia una sola app per navigare tutto)

Accidenti, mi hai aperto un mondo! Sto iniziando a trovare le comunità che mi interessavano e a unirmi.

È ancora strano per me perché vedo che una comunità ha X membri sull'istanza stessa, ma molti meno su Lemmy.World.

Mi spiego: apro ad esempio l'istanza "scienza" su feddir.it e Liftoff (consigliato da un altro utente più in basso) dice che tale istanza ha circa 700 membri. Appena ci clicco per unirmi mi chiede di farlo dalla mia istanza madre (Lemmy.World) che faccio e subito cambia la pagina di descrizione e mi dice che di persone ce ne sono solo 20 (che presumo siano gli utenti di questa comunità che però provengano da Lemmy.World)

Questa cosa mi confonde molto perché prima di entrare in un'istanza vedo quanta gente ci sia e magari sembra che certe comunità siano vuote, quando in realtà sono vuote se viste dalla mia istanza.

Lemmy può essere complicato.

Quello che sto capendo è che non c'è una singola applicazione con cui interfacciarmi (Jerboa fa alcune cose meglio, Connect altre, Liftoff altre, Sync altre, ecc)

I haven't. I'll try it later today from my laptop. It's weird since I'm now so used to use apps to browse Lemmy (and Reddit)

I need to try with a web browser. I prefer to do it from my laptop though (on cell phone I'm too used to use an app)
