Our neighbors cut down all the trees on their side of the property line, but its been about 2 years now and we've got our privacy back because all the stumps sprouted.

We have a lawn but have not once watered it or fertilized it. All we do is mulch the grass and any leaves that fall on it when we mow. I'm sure our neighbors hate how we're patient 0 for the clover/dandelion "infestation" every year but we love seeing the bunnies in the morning.
I saw these and was like, well surely they're not that different, then I checked the old ones. Wow, you have some amazing talent with pixel art.
It'll be Interesting to see how this gets implemented. It will be hard to judge cases fairly and consistantly given the vague wording.

My guess is people who care about whether the cables blend in with their lawn are willing to pay more for them.

Not sure if this helps but the V-Tweaks mod has something like this where you can set it so mobs don't spawn above y=64.
There's a mod called Modern Beta that uses the old terrain generation but with newer versions of the game.
I just finished clearing out all of the shriekers in the ancient city near my spawn. All I did was run around with nothing but a diamond hoe, some food, and a night vision potion. I'm not too fussed about dying, I try and keep things chill. I might go in one more time with nothing just to check I got them all before looting all of the chests.
Yeah, I use the mouse wheel. I'm bad at placing my fingers on the right keys without looking, so once my hand is on WASD I try not to move it too much.
