Interesting, my method was to use ((ax+bx)/2)/8 , (ay+by)/2 , ((az+bz)/2)/8 to find the coordinates for the portal in the nether. Then just a little trial and error to calibrate it correctly. However, your method seems a lot more robust and would be a lot easier to troubleshoot.

NP, as an added bonus if you use the "Beta Skylands" terrain the structures can generate including the stronghold.
I recently started watching Paladin Ryan on YouTube and he featured it in a video. It's so cool how you can have old seeds generate like they used to but with all of the modern features and content.
Just looked up the map and I'm definitely gonna add it to my list things to check out. I've only been playing this game for 3 years and I feel like there's a lifetime worth of fan-made content.
They're talking about fracturizer which was a virus that WAS in "trusted mods" (BetterMC modpack) and on a "trusted source" (Curseforge). I get what you're say but in this specific case there have been steps taken to ensure fracturizer doesn't infect any more mods.
Sorry to disappoint but I only know beta seeds and modern seeds. Although I'm curious to see how much 'Gilgamesh' has changed.

Watched Grian and Mumbo's episodes and all I could think of was the My Little Buttercup scene from Three Amigos.
To be clear though, if you're out and about and a mob agros on you while you are trying to sleep they will attack you. Being in a bed doesn't make you invisible. Its just that mobs don't spawn next to your bed anymore. Source: Spider attacked me while I was sleeping a couple days ago.
I got the idea from someone on YouTube making a secret base where if you crouched and stood on the edge of a portal in the nether it would link to a different portal than if you were just standing in the center.
