To be honest, not a whole lot is different these days for me. I was raised to believe in God, Heaven, eventually Hell, and the importance of honoring the family tradition of going to Church every single Christmas and Easter, their occasions that absolutely cannot be missed.

I will note that I deconverted fully around 14 years old, ironically during the Christmas Eve service and my single biggest fear for a couple of years was my family finding out and their reaction.

Things have gotten better since then, and thankfully, my atheism is (mostly) accepted by my family these days, so all's well.

Obligatory comment: My sunday's are actually free now, so time for some video games.

I can relate to this. I'm a full blown atheist, someone who just doesn't have any doubt on their beliefs for religion.

Even then, when I visit my besties Eastern Orthodox Church once in a blue moon (probably for a significant personal occassion or learning a new Holiday I never celebrated), I still feel an overall sense of community at her Church, and it helps that everyone i've met there is so nice.

I don't believe being a Christian (especially a conservative Christian) is the lifestyle for me, and I just can not bring myself to believe for a moment in it, but even with that, the vague sense of community is still there. Makes for a pleasant trip at least.

Pepperoni, pineapple, green peppers, grilled meat to act like sausages, mozzarella cheese, and cheese sticks inside the crust to make it a stuff crust pizza.

Made this awhile back with my Grandma. The wonders of Sourdough truly knows no bounds.

Now i'm just imagining a wizard casting enlarge/reduce on themselves to shrink and attacking with an army of ants.

Screw it, time to make a Druid with said ability that loves ants.

Funnily enough, i'm doing a Roll20 campaign with a group of friends, and the setting is that their adventurer's part of an ingame adventurer's guild (helps explain new members and real life absentees).

I was thinking about having them meet another party that's part of the guild since my players aren't the only ones whose a member.

Rather unfortunate to know that it's from this instance. I do trust that my admin, the almighty Jerry, will be able to resolve it.

Why thank you Sir Picard. I have one very paranoid group of players now though, lol.

I see, thank you for the clarification. Maybe thats something that'll change in the future, but only time will tell.

@chewbert

@plum @theolodger

I wonder if it's something funky with how kbin and Lemmy handles timestamps.

I hail from Fedia.IO, a kbin instance.

@plum This is the first time a Mimic I placed that was successfully triggered, and this particular group of players didn't vocalize any suspicions on the book being the Mimic. We ended the session with joking that everything is now a potential mimic, especially that rock over there, or perhaps that Stalagmite, maybe even my sword is a mimic now.

I just gotta patiently wait for the Mimic funny business to calm down before I place another one, muhahahahaha.

Thanks for the assistance everybody, i'm now successfully subscribed to battlemaps.

The Fedia.IO copy of it is showing no threads, but I assume federation isn't a back porting process and i'll get new posts over time. If anything, there's always the original instance if I want to browse it's history.

Thank you for the help.

Hey Guys. I'm trying to subscribe to an external communitu ([email protected]), but i'm not sure what the syntax is for such a search. Manually inputting fedia.io/m/[email protected] to the URL doesn't seem to help either. Am I missing something?

So i've had a dream on a mimic I've wanted to use for awhile, and I finally got the chance to use it last night.

The scene: You come across a chest, a podium, and a book laying on top of the podium titled "How to spot a Mimic".

The first thing my trap checker player did was check the podium for traps. When she had the all clear, she then grabbed the book.

The next half hour of the Mimic being a monster book of monsters was just a hilarity I wish was recorded.

I understand your pain with that last point. Being an atheist teen in a family that highly values religious holidays (and more) is a life experience I hope people don't have to go through.

Things got better, as I hope things are well for you.

I have an Ender 3 Pro printer and i'd like to use it to print miniatures for bosses my table encounters. However, previous attempts to learn how to use 3d modeling software (primarily blender) hasn't ended well. Is there an easy to follow guide for how to make a humanoid sculpture, ideally with weapons and physical features added as well?
