This is going to lead to a civil war. The Republicans simply cannot accept any consequences for their actions, or any failure of their insane message to win a majority vote, so they resort to insurrection.
Trump is openly spouting fascist talking points and his followers are cheering him on. This is not a normal election.
Trump is literally saying that immigrants are polluting the blood of the country. He's calling his political opponents vermin and saying he wants to be dictator (don't worry, just one day!) How much clearer could the stakes be?

We have all this car infrastructure already. Unless the plan is to somehow replace that all with light rail in the next ten years, EVs are a reasonable solution we can roll out on a shorter timeline.
