Like poorly trained dogs, they attack anything different.

Police harass minorities. If you live somewhere where you are not considered a minority, you'll likely not have any issues at all. But if you travel to someplace where you are the minority or are obviously not normal looking, you should expect to be harassed by local law enforcement.

If you think those people aren't real, I got some bad news for you. Those memes are based on reality.

You CAN reason with them. But you can't attack their idol. That's not going to get you anywhere. There's a lot more common ground between the two sides. You won't know that by listening to the talking heads (for either side) preaching against the other.

You might not change the system this way, but if we all change a few people around us it makes a difference eventually.

  • but most MAGAs simply don't believe he raped anybody.

And if he did, they probably deserved it. And if they didn't then it's still ok because he's a Christian. And at least he's not a Democrat. Because after all, this was something he did, Demoncrats are actively abducting children.

There is no reasoning for these idiots. Politics is tribalism 100%. You pick a side and back your guy 100% or you lose.

If we want them to vote differently we have to find a different approach.

I don't know why you're downvoted.

OP, it's your kid. It's past time to figure out what they are into. I promise there is something that you can at least get a little into.

My kid likes banjo/mountain music. Not my thing but I enjoy seeing live shows with them because they enjoy it and I enjoy live shows.

'I'm married.'

'I have a boyfriend.'

'I don't need your help.'

I understand why they react this way, but I have to admit, I don't compliment women very often anymore. At least the guys don't need to assume I have some other motive in order to feel safe.

Because it isn't real (it's AI, platypus is real)

So do you pronounce it 'gooey' or 'jewey'?

[–] CascadianGiraffe 2 points 1 month ago

No, but that sounds like my kind of gig.

A close friend of mine had to quit the force after a few years. Luckily for him the only thing he dealt with was the guilt of having to put kids in jail for weed. He still feels guilty about it.

Admittedly once I found out he was a cop for a few years I didn't trust him. But after hearing his stories and understanding that he had to leave because he wasn't one of them. He actually went to college and had plans to be a detective but had to give up that entire life plan because he just couldn't handle all the corruption and abuse.

Sucks that you have to continue to suffer because the system was broken. Hope you understand that you (and my buddy) were also victims on some level.

All we can do is try to make things better for the next generations. At least now people are listening. If it weren't for everyone having access to recording devices, we'd never be able to even hope for change.
