It is an official word, but nobody uses it anymore in English. Same goes for ereyesterday (the day before yesterday)
Blubber28
1670 (Polish)
A satirical comedy following a Polish lower nobleman, his family, and a few of the serfs. The nobleman (Jan) wants to secure his legacy and increase his status/power, but doesn't do a great job. The characters are very well made, and the story is very ridiculous.
Norsemen (Norwegian, but in English)
Also a satirical, dark comedy about vikings. This one primarily relies on absurdism for its humour.
Both are on Netflix (which is sadly American, but I'm sure there are alternative ways of watching).
Yeah exactly. I wonder how Trump would've responded if anyone in the room asked him if he would have used diplomacy had he been president during Pearl Harbour or 9/11. I'd have loved to see him squirm his way out of that one after he stated that Zelensky needs to be open for concessions in exchange for peace.
That really depends on the political views. If someone's belief is that certain groups do not deserve to exist/live, or at least doesn't care enough about those views of the party they voted for, that is absolutely reason enough to cut them out of your life.
"Germany launches a preemtive strike against Poland"
I believe the impact was mostly to do with the visuals. And, honestly, that is very fair. While it is inctedibly dull and cringe story-wise, the visuals are phenominal, especially since the movie is now already 15 years old.
I feel the same way about Jurassic Park in that sense, though it is much less cringe than Avatar (but still pretty basic story-wise).
Not to mention the fact that they had to climb some very steep stairs and Gollum went first. Poor hobbits...
It certainly has downsides in that regard, I will not deny that. However, if you want something that Just Works™, it is a very good option in my (admittedly limited) experience.
To add, if OP is looking to use the laptop for gaming, I can recommend Bazzite. Built upon fedora with some quality of life things and very stable as it's immutable. Very hard to fuck up.
They're probably both bottoming for Putin
Also, for those interested in more mature movies: Juror #2. I had good expectations and was not disappointed. At least, not by the movie. There were only a handful of people in an already small cinema room, only a week after release. Meanwhile, Gladiator II is drawing a lot of public.
While I love shitting on CEOs and business people as much as the next left-oriented person, this trend in the movie industry is very much, at least partially, at fault due to many of the consumers.
That's kind of the problem though - they do follow the teachings. The bible clearly states that two men who sleep together must be stoned to death, and that people are encouraged to spread these beliefs. It is true that they are ignoring the parts about being kind to other people, but at the same time, you are likely ignoring the parts that tell you that you can keep slaves as long as they are from other regions, that you cannot eat pork and shellfish, and that you must stone gay men.
This makes you absolutely a better person that the dipshits that OP is complaining about. But nevertheless, they are likely just as christian.
