It's a pun. A peel, like the skin on a banana.

Not a cabinet member. DOGE is an "advisory committee", not an actual department of government

Can't let Gary fucking Johnson have the best weed-related PR stunt of a US presidential candidate.

Can they disable their steam forums if they don't want to moderate them?

I really like that there was a whole thing about building a super-weapon where players had to complete quests or whatever to contribute to its development. Then enough players compete the quest and the weapon was completed, and it turned out to be an orbital bombardment that killed enemies and players indiscriminately.

A lot of players were pissed but it's so aggressively in-character I can't imagine how they didn't see it coming.

The .ml domain stands for the country of Mali, but lemmy.ml definitely chose that domain because it can stand for Marxist-Leninist.

Dual trackpads but still dual joystick and a real D-pad.

I really tried to like my steam controller but the trackpads as the main control surface didn't work that well.

Fresh college grads hate this advice but it's really key to managing a long term career.

I think people really overestimate how much everybody knows about the US.

I'd say there's a large population that only know NYC, LA, and Chicago.

Sure, the more correct wording would be "neither the customer nor the company are taxed on the donation". Assuming the customer itemizes their taxes, which a you've pointed out is rare.

I'm trying to speak at the level of people who post stuff like the OP. Some of the details don't shake out correctly but I'm not trying to get in the weeds of US tax code here if the main point holds up.
