For things like house seats where there are a dozen or more positions, proportional representation would probably be better. Unfortunately that system is so foreign to Americans I think it would be a tough sell.

The storage problem is the limiting factor. Batteries are wildly too expensive, pumped storage takes a huge amount of space and isn’t feasible in most places due to geography, and hydrogen is not nearly there yet technologically.

If we switched entirely to wind and solar we would need to accept total shutdowns when we had a bad run of weather.

I use a quest headset for PCVR and my advice would be just don’t. Their software treats this use case as a second class citizen and it shows. I haven’t been able to play online in weeks because since the last update the link decides to completely drop after 15-30 minutes of use.

The issue is mostly that it’s highly variable, hard to change without moving, and hard to predict before you actually live somewhere.

The comcast rep will happily take your money to put you on a 200mb plan, but it won’t do shit if the infrastructure in your area is bad, and Comcast (or whoever the isp is) has absolutely zero responsibility to actually provide the promised services. Now you add in that 95% of the population including most of the phone reps working for the ISPs don’t even know the difference between a bit and a byte and it becomes a total crap shoot.

The worst offenders are often cops too.

I mean you could say the same thing about any entity hosting public wifi, but I doubt the local cafe owner has to worry when someone breaks the law on their guest network.

This feels really inconsistent is the main problem.

Why did you switch and what do you like about it? I’m using cinnamon now and it seems perfectly fine to me, but idk what I’m missing

But if the same happens with men you’re cool with it?

I think there’s a big difference between being able to identify an AI by talking to it and being able to identify something written by an AI, especially if a human has looked over it for obvious errors.

Red Bull has very little incentive to care about how entertaining a race is though, they just want the most points with the least drama.
