Creepy will be an understatement once you go further in the manga, there are many "wtf" moments in there. But it's still an incredible manga, you won't regret it 😁

Let them fight among themselves and prove time and time again that patents are idiotic and hinder innovation.

You can look at the face of that kid in the video as he's being made to say that Hamas "didn't murder anyone".

(the woman who was being booed by the Oct 7 truthers is Julie Lythcott-Haims)

October 7 denial is a thing and sadly we have lots of these tinfoil folks on Lemmy:

I think it's already removed? I checked by sorting with New and there's nothing right now, unless you mean another community?

Yup, they already forced Google to announce that they'll add such a choice screen for the search engine and web browser on Android: https://www.neowin.net/news/google-will-add-new-search-and-browser-choice-screens-for-android-phones-in-europe/

It's only a matter of time before Microsoft does so too.

According to Pramila Patten, the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Special Envoy for Sexual Violence in Conflicts, she has been unable to sleep for a week since viewing the 47-minute video compiled by the IDF of the atrocities committed on October 7. The scenes continue to haunt her. "Only after I saw the video did I understand things that I didn't understand before in terms of the magnitude of the disaster that happened."

"Patten's visit was especially important to us so that there would be international recognition of the suffering and the horrendous sexual crimes committed against Israeli women and girls on October 7 by the monsters of Hamas," Erdan said. "It is equally important for the world to understand who we are fighting against. The disregard and indifference demonstrated by the UN and its women's organization is a disgrace that cannot be allowed to continue."

Paten will depart on Monday, at the conclusion of an intense 8-day visit. Throughout her stay, she gathered evidence of the incidents of sexual and gender-based violence perpetrated by the terrorists.

Queva’s posts, which have still not been taken down, are of a rambling and vitriolic nature, and she refers to the “holohoax” and “AshkeNazis”, the latter of which is a play on the word ‘ashkenazi’, meaning Jews who descend from those who lived in Central or Eastern Europe.

tl;dr from the article:

  • Auracast is a feature of the Bluetooth LE Audio standard that enables broadcasting audio to nearby devices.
  • Android added basic support for Bluetooth LE Audio in Android 13, including support for starting and connecting to audio streams.
  • Android 15 could get a dedicated page for audio sharing, signaling that Auracast could be a key feature of the new OS.

Screenshots from the article of how the feature would look like:

tl;dr from the article:

  • The Nothing Phone 1 is now getting the stable Android 14 update with Nothing OS 2.5.
  • The software will roll out in stages and come to open beta testers before stable Android 13 users.

They're still working on a proper fix. The workaround they just shared on their official forum involves using Developer Tools and adb, so nothing really user friendly yet.

A must in my opinion for self-learners. It also has an Android app: https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.ichi2.anki/

From last year's CppCon, posted just 4 hours ago. A nice discussion about CTAD, how it works, deduction guides and some pitfalls.

We mentioned it here two weeks ago but today it's apparently finally rolling out to Pixel 8 phones.

Google's promo video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdbeqSQjZI8

It's also available on the Samsung Galaxy S24, but I guess folks with a Pixel 7 and below will have to wait.

tl;dr: Notification channels, which were introduced with Android 8, are now disabled by default and one has now to enable them manually (screenshots below by Android Police):

step 1 - settings menu step 2 - notifications step 3 - advanced settings
