I mean, I probably would use them on the side if third party clients still worked properly. instagram and facebook don't really have a reliable client to view it's pages anymore and reddit/twitter clients are either pay-walled or just don't work anymore because of their crackdowns. Either way it's not like I'm losing sleep over it, especially when discord and the fediverse exist.
Whoops! Reddit spazzed out and couldn't send your post because it hurts spez's feelings!
sometimes just logging in again works. if you have it set to automatically log in, that happens sometimes.
alright, good to know.
same. first time hearing that is even possible.
How is maintaining a community compared to an instance? It would be neat to make one, but what keeps me from making one is having to moderate it or maintain it.
And on mobile, the bad gateway errors deleting what you jot down doesn't help either lol
I find it easier to comment on stuff if I just plop something down and send it. It's easier to just express an opinion in the moment. It helps that you can see the responses people put too, keeps it interesting.
Is advanced searching any better? I wouldn't know now because searx but when I used it before it helped to keep the results focused.
Apparently for some people they see it as a gimped version of IOS somehow. If anything IOS from what I've used before is so much more locked down now than it used to be when I had a 3G. But yeah the stigma is there with some people, but it doesn't really matter at this point. If you want to side load apps, use android because you don't have to go out of your way to get dev permissions, hook it up to the PC to install, and constantly re-approve your side-loaded apps. Seriously that shit gets annoying real fast.
