The one I heard was, “Stay humble, you cunt. Stay humble, you cunt. Erling Haaland, stay humble, you cunt.”

11pm kickoff here. I wasn’t going to stay up but started to watch the first half…too much excitement for that time of night for me!

Update. She isn’t cup tied in the League Cup but as the semi is Man City, she can’t play.

Also, am visiting the zoo today.

I heard this on the radio today. It reminded me of going on a mini road trip to see them play at the University of Warwick, when I lived in England.

I didn’t watch that match but having now looked back at highlights, yes.

Tim Stillman says that she is cup tied for both domestic cups. Probably means she will play a lot of WSL minutes.

My quick search indicates she’s cup tied for the FA Cup.

A few whispers today about the Atalanta striker, Retegui

This is from Lambrini Girls' debut album, Who Let The Dogs Out. released this month. The band are from Brighton on the south coast of England.

Between 2013 and 2022, Brisbane's The Goon Sax put out 3 studio albums of thoughtful indie pop.

The band consisted of Riley Jones (vocals, drums, lead guitar), Louis Forster (vocals, rhythm guitar, bass) and James Harrison (bass, rhythm guitar, backing vocals).

This track is from the 2018 album, We're Not Talking, with vocals from drummer, Riley Jones.

I enjoyed listening to this track and some others from the album Tabouret that came out in 2024 from this band from Lyon.

I just noticed this track from Sprints that came out last Sept.

This chap appears to be from London, however he seems to be very much channelling Stockton, CA's finest. i.e. Pavement.

What do you think?

This is a 2024 remastered version with footage from the 1993 documentary Hype.

I only became aware of Seattle punk band, The Gits, because I was given a copy of the fundraising/tribute album Evil Stig to review for a low-level publication I was writing for. I can't remember anything that I wrote about it!

This was a few years after their untimely dissolution because of the gruesome murder of their lead singer, Mia Zapata.

More info on The Gits on Wikipedia.

Posting a Los Bitchos track led me to Franz Ferdinand's, Alex Kapranos saying that it sounds like, "William Onyeabor discovering cumbia

I first noticed Onyeabor, like most everyone, when a 2013 compilation of his music appeared. This was championed/admired by the likes of David Byrne, Money Mark, Damon Albarn, Pat Mahoney, Dev Hynes, Alexis Taylor, Charles Lloyd, Amadou and Mariam, Dan Snaith, Four Tet and Tune-Yards…as per his Wikipedia entry

I enjoy this song.
