One time I did some freelance work for a client and he had the most stereotypical Italian accent. I told my wife about it by mimic him and she didn’t believe me. He had let me borrow something that he needed for work and came over to pick it up. My wife answered the door and he said “Ay, it’s-a me Paglio (name changed). Is “Arxtwo” a here?” She did everything in her power not to bust out laughing. That was 13 years ago and we still talk about it.

My setting has a lot of nautical aspects to it, including lots of drowned and sea creatures. One of my players in a captain of a ship (they're all level 15+ now, so he's worked his way up there). I'd have the blind character have a parrot that narrates the world to them, much like a DM.

You should really brush up on your history. It's estimated that up to 77,000 Germans who were a part of the resistance were executed and an additional 800,000 were arrested. You're right that Nazis didn't kill other Nazis, they killed Germans who resisted Nazism.

I could only wish he could die more than once so I could say it again. And again.

West-coaster here. They’re definitely two completely different pronunciations.

Accurate. Really fucks me up when I have morning meetings. I become really incoherent. Luckily I work as an art director and everyone expects me to speak incoherently about design anyway.

My wife and I were just mentioning the other day how we can have video chats with family half way around the world, for free. When we were kids making a long distance call to someone a few counties away was a big deal and we didn’t talk long because it would cost too much. Wild stuff.

For 5th and 6th period in middle school, in the early 90s, I was in the same lab and had complete access to the computers. Rather, I was in charge of them. I was a TA for one period and it was a free elective for another period. I don't remember the details...but somehow I was there for both periods every day.

The teacher who ran the lab just left it all up to me. So, I installed games on all of the computers. Oregon Trail, DOOM, and Q*bert were the three that I remember.

Students would be sent up to the computer lab, on a daily basis for both periods. A lot of times the teacher who ran it would go run errands since I had it covered. When those kids came up, the entire lab just played games.

Also, since it was 6th period, I'd have the honor of shutting down the entire school network and systems at the end of the day. I'd get to call teachers and tell them to get off so I could shut it down. Some times I wouldn't contact them, and I'd just kick them off the network and shut down anyway.

It was a fun time.

You can create accounts for Jellyfin that allows people to log in. However, the way you serve it to them is your responsibility. In my case, I set up my system with DDNS to work off a personal domain that anyone can connect to with the correct credentials. It’s a bit more work to set up, but I like it better in the long run.

I prefer Jellyfin over Plex. Plex has become too bloated. Jellyfin is free, open-source, and well maintained. I have it running on Docker on my NAS, feeding multiple devices, accessible on every platform I use, and it hasn't failed me. I was a lifetime subscriber of Plex before I made the switch, and haven't looked back.

LTT did a great video about Jellyfin. Keep in mind that this video is 5 months old, and they have had updates since.

MURYGOAT.

I hope he wins. As much as I love Stefanos, Murray will always be one of my favorites. Hope he's ok to continue and gets some additional rest now.

And yes, sad to see Kontaveit retire like that. But hopefully we get to see her is doubles? "...so many people that love me and were able to see me play for the last time – in singles."...so maybe?
