The moment has come and he retired very quietly. None of the tennis greats have attended, nor did he have a great send off video. The final on-court interview wasn't in English either.

Tbh I liked this way tho. It was very simple and I would have cried hella lot had it been done like the Roger Federer's retirement. I got to watch him fight for one last time and his fighting spirit was shown again in 2nd set. Thank you Rafa for the memories.

We all saw that coming, but it's still sad to see the second big three retiring. Great career, and he deserves all the rest he can get now!

What a fantastic comeback. I think we can all agree that Carlos carried this year's team world. Zverev's recovery was pretty good though! And the energy Carlos shared with Ruud was amazing. He brought that man from the dead

Hello! I'm a beginner tennis player looking for a racket and some shoes. I technically played growing but it's been about a decade since I stopped. I used to use Adidas Barricade (I think) and a Wilson Hammer. I liked the heavy head. But it's been a very long time, and everything has changed since I last played. Just wondering what's a good racket for beginners or intermediate.

For shoes, I'm considering On Roger Pro since they feel better on my wide feet than the current Adidas Barricade, but open to suggestions as well.

Who do you think is going to win this year? I feel Djoko has a confidence boost on men's side and on women's side I'd like to see Iga win another US open

How to Get Tickets for a Wimbledon Match on Centre Court?

Hi everyone,

I need some advice on how to acquire tickets for at least one Wimbledon game, preferably on Centre Court. This is for my brother, who is currently in the UK and will be in London from July 3rd to July 7th.

Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

And man, it still hits. I don't think anyone collectively cried so much when a sports player retired. It's not the best documentary ever but if you like tennis and specially Federer, I recommend this

Carlos needs to get a grip on his lapses in quality. Damn difficult to watch him not knowing when it will come up. Otherwise he's a genuine pleasure to watch him when he's firing on all cylinders. Vamos!

Do you think Alcaraz will take his revenge from his quarterfinal loss of 2022? Do you think Zverez will overpower him once again?

Personally I much prefer Carlos and I want him to win but honestly it looks pretty even matched.

As the title states. On the other site, tennis is for news, and 10s is for tips and technique. What does this forum serve?

How to get reminded? (programming.dev)
submitted 6 months ago by [email protected] to c/tennis

I like watching tennis but I'm not a die-hard fan and I very quickly forget that there is a big event happening. So, I would like to be reminded of important tournaments and where they are broadcast (in EU). But I don't want notifications about all the events. Is there a place where I can get such reminders (preferably via RSS, but I'm OK with an non-intrusive app too)?
