One that just popped into my mind... The Culture Series. I really struggled to get into Consider Phlebas and must have restarted it three times before I got it. After I did, it was very difficult to not think about it all the time. I stopped when life got a bit busy so I do need to pick Excession up again, or restart since it'll all be pretty fresh again by now.

But hey, we'll get multiple new ones instead of just one!

not all vehicles come with manual releases for the rear doors

That sounds... Well, fucking stupid.

I mean it is, because many/most of us came here because of the nonsense Reddit was pulling. You don't imitate the structure if you're not offering an alternative to those people.

HDM for sure.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance is really solid, if limited. Not sure how similar it is to the non-advance version.

That is a pretty horrific thing. Policy is so far behind if that is allowed.

Oh that's a point, probably not cheap though, maybe not good for home cinema? Not heard of Sceptre, will check out. I'm happy just not connecting my TV mind you.

[–] ABCDE 9 points 2 weeks ago

What are you dealing with now?

[–] ABCDE 20 points 2 weeks ago (7 children)

I'm not sure they exist, but either way, just plug something in and don't connect the TV itself to the internet.

A friend's son wants some cards... here (SEA), they are all (or mostly) fake. So, another friend is coming back from Japan soon and went to a couple of stores... they sell out instantly in the morning apparently. Is this normal? Are there any recommended sites for getting boosters and whatnot?

I had a sub before and it was fine, generally reliable, and one screen. I would prefer one with two or three screens so I can watch multiple games, or share with my partner who may be in a different location.

The one I had previously advertised 4K but it was really 1080. If it's good 1080 I don't mind, ideally one with 60FPS or whatever the best is.
