That's smart! Gonna give that a try

I'm convinced anyone who wants to go back to the office just wants to get away from their family.
WFH is the way. I technically get off in 8 minutes but already shirtless on my back patio chillin. No commute, no dress code

Got that covered!

Maybe I should get started on that LRAD deflector...

Liberals want to throw money at problems forever, Leftist want to tackle the root causes so they end.

Liberals are licking the wounds, leftists are applying antibiotic and bandages

I think the angle might be creating an illusion. To me it looks like they're grill is right at the border of the sidewalk. Look at the right front wheel and the corner of the driveway..

As a man this is spot on. My old roommate "presented" as a neoliberal hippy with wood-bead bracelets, but would literally talk about how he wanted slaves so he didn't have to work. Some men are literally closeted Republicans that know if they are honest they will be sexless

Get yourselves a socialist, ladies. Neoliberals are just spineless republicans

Fuck patents. All information should be free.

FOSS or die

Is this really a good faith argument you are making? If I could figure out how someone did something I am not allowed to do it for 30 years. They are not hiding this technology, it has been independently invented by multiple people. It is not unique enough to be able to 'hide' from society.

The second somebody makes a product available it can be reverse engineered. There are no secrets with mechanical objects or, in this case, an intuitice slicing method

Being in this community has taught me that patents are stupid as fuck. Any time someone tries to bring up the topic, defending patents, I bring up how 3d printers could have been a thing when they were a kid. We were held back for 3 decades of progress because of a patent. Because of that we are essentially 3d printing like it's 1995 right now.

Without these patent trolls I truly believe we would all be able to be SLS sintering our own metal car parts at home. But instead we're still printing plastic toys

Go check out downtown Nashville, it sounds like someone gave 500 toddlers musical instruments and red bull. When it all mixes together it just sounds like noise

I got to say it looks like the design is behind the OnePlus Open still. The bezels are way too big for 2024 and the curved corners are way too drastic IMO

It is thinner though! In the video I took this grab from the hinge side is noticeably thinner

I decided to try out GCam and it seems to be better in certain scenarios, specifically low light.

The stock camera app is better with dynamic range in bright scenes.

These were taken with the v8.8 GCam

I've been waiting for someone to make this comparison video, looks like I made the right choice picking the open

It seems it will be like the black one, with faux leather, except red. The side rails appear to be glossy metal instead of the matte of the black one.

It's all rumors right now but some are suggesting it may have more RAM and storage. I think we already have overkill RAM, but I could see people wanting one terabyte.

I still prefer the black, but cool to have another option now while we wait for the Open 2

Update: it is 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, great choice IMO

I've been trying to play games while watching a video at the same time and it seems like no matter what I do fortnite shows up stretched.

Even if I open a different app and split screen and then switch to it, fortnite appears to open in the right ratio but then when it loads it is all stretched (menu and gameplay)

Any way to fix this? Stuff like this was so easy on my galaxy fold there is a huge learning curve with the open.

Got ambitious with my new multicolor setup (3D Chameleon)

I had some issues toward the end, in the blue parts, but otherwise it's perfectly functional and strong!

Going to do the same treatment for the upper and handguard to make it a full on USA flag :)

I had made Junglecat controller cases for my galaxy fold but just got a S23 Ultra and decided to make another for this phone.

I love how perfectly the size of the controllers matches the phone width. It makes it look like one cohesive device!

Speakers, USB and pen are all accessible still.

I am willing to share the STL for free to anyone interested, but if you want to leave me a 'tip' you can buy the file from my store for five bucks. Also selling printed cases for those without a printer!

4hr 40m Benchy! (lemmy.world)

I finally got multi-color working on my Creality K1 Max using the 3D Chameleon.

Decided to make a 2 color benchy and scaled it down to 75% to save time, along with 0.25mm layer height.

So far the Chameleon has been pretty picky with filament, but when it works it works well! This print is with silk gold and matte black. I have even gotten 95A TPU to print with it surprisingly!

I modified the color-change code so it takes 1 minute less, which makes a big difference when you have hundreds of color changes.

Next up, 4 color benchy. Probably will be 10 hrs lol

I know this is very specific to my devices, but thought I'd share anyways. Really happy with how this came out and how convenient it is.

I have been playing with this idea for a while and finally designed it. This charges my ZFold3, Galaxy Watch6 and XROS vape all at the same time on my nightstand.
Phone and watch chargers are wireless, vape charger is a cable inserted to make a 'dock'.

I designed slots in the bottom so the cables all route out the back.

I added a little area at the front for miscellaneous items, like lip balm and coins.

I'm kicking myself now for not including a place to put my glasses, but I might design something to attach to this existing dock for them to go.

without phone/watch/vape
