It's essentially a portable HEPA filter you're blowing your exhale through. So anything you exhale into it, it's going to absorb & remove.
I stuff the top of mine with cotton balls to keep the filter cleaner for longer.

Yeah there are still options out there that offer an IR blaster, but I'd really like to see it return as a mainstream feature. Now it's more of a niche thing you don't see often.
I'm on a Fold 4 now and I do love the novelty/oddity aspect of having a folding tablet.
But I would love to see the return of IR blasters on most phones and sliding phones for physical keyboards.
Totally understand that! Have you tried using a Sploofy at home? I've been using them for a while now and they're very effective at reducing the smell.
I understand why mods of communities would choose to back down and go public again, since the alternative is that reddit admins would take over their sub and potentially/probably ruin it.
So I can understand not wanting to see your community you've spent countless hours caring for, go down the gutters.
I wouldn't take the same action, but I can understand why some of these mods have chosen to give in.
Great choices! Hard to go wrong there.
Eventually you'll end up wanting desktop power. Desktops just have so much more juice than their portable alternatives.
While I have a ton of portables, I use my desktops far more often.
I just open pdf's or docs in Google Docs and modify/sign from there.
While I'm disappointed to see so many Reddit mods bend the knee, I also understand why.
Personally I won't be going back to Reddit after all this and I imagine many other power users won't be returning either.
CS was one of those games I wasn't sure I'd enjoy, but played off game pass and absolutely fell in love with it. Such incredible writing.
I actually went and played the Dev's other game, In Other Waters, afterwards and enjoyed it as well.
Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland for me
"Arguably worse for privacy than Reddit"
This poster clearly has some sort of vendetta against Lemmy and/or its creators with the comments on politics, etc.
Reddit takes your activity and packages/sells your data to advertisers. Lemmy does not. To say Lemmy is worse than Reddit for privacy is just not true.
I'd take that post with a hefty grain of salt.
