Cocktails, the libationary art!
A place for conversation about cocktails, ingredients, home mixology, the bar industry or liquor industry, glassware - this is not an exhaustive list. If you think it's in some way related to cocktails it's probably fine.
If you post something you didn't create give credit whenever possible.
Pictures and recipes are encouraged when posting a drink as a standalone post. Example of an ideal drink post:

We love garnishes.
Remember the code of conduct, keep it nice. In terms of cocktails- specific etiquette that might be different from other communities:
Mentioning your blog, insta, website, book or bar is allowed, yes. For now at least, we do allow self-promotion. If it gets out of hand this might change.
A good post with a drink you don't like is still a good post! Try not to conflate the drink and the post or poster. If someone has a relevant title, gorgeous photo and clearly formatted recipe of what you consider a truly terrible drink, a comment is more appropriate than a downvote.
On that topic: Polite critique/reviews of drinks (or posts, images, etc.) is allowed here. Encouraged , even. It's a good tool for improving your drinks and content. Really, just be nice.
I'll be celebrating the birthday of a Wisconsin friends, so its Wisconsin Old Fashioneds for me.
Is this where they add soda to the drink? I got an Old Fashioned in Milwaukee and they asked me if I wanted it sweet or sour. I was very confused and chose sweet, not knowing what that meant. Ultimately, I was pretty disappointed with the drink I was served.
Yes. Also brandy (Korbel) based instead of whiskey.
Honestly. I wouldn't put a Wisconsin Old Fashioned and Old Fashioned in the same category. I'm not surprised you were disappointed. Different liquor, different mixer, different balance. Only similarities are the bitters the fruit (although in WI the cherry steals the show).
It's definitely a nostalgic drink for me. I like it with sour or pressed (soda water instead of soda). It's the perfect companion to a wood paneled supper club and a well done steak.
This explains a lot, thanks! A crowded bar at a Wisconsin wedding was not the place to ask for more details about the drink.
Nyquil baby. I got the 'rona.
I don't drink, but I do plan to get lit on some Jealousy. One of the best strains out there imo.
Aproveche!
Same to you! Merry Christmas to all!
Egg nog! Sailor Jerry's and some store bought nog
Having a passion fruit margarita and watching Rebel Moon.
2oz tequila ocho (claro)
3/4 oz orange liqueur
3/4 oz Chinola

Shake shake. As good as it sounds. The movie is good so far, too.
