Genuinely curious. Why are subjective field sobriety tests still done in the US versus roadside saliva drug tests or breathalysers for alcohol.

Easier for the cops to detain people
Saliva would require a warrant, but they can require a breathalyzer test without a warrant. Breathalyzers need to be regularly calibrated, so it could partly be laziness in that regard. But I'm pretty sure it's mostly because they want to prove you are not safe to drive regardless of your blood alcohol content. The longer the stop, the more opportunity there is to find something against you.
I watched that whole damn video and there was no freakout. It's just a sad woman being cooperative.
You need to post some videos. If you can take the time to comment that it's not a freak out, you can one up it by providing one.
Unfortunately, I can barely keep up with daily life, so aside from me being a mod here and there, I mostly rely on you helpful people for the good stuff.
Totally get it, then go easy on the posters or post one for every negative comment.
I believe in discussion without requirements, but thank you for the suggestion.
