Arts (Printmaking, Graffiti, sculpture, calligraphy, typography, design), and all the SFW porn subs.
Also, I'm really amazed that https://lemmy.world/c/sourdough is already quite active.
they do have some good starters in that sub
It's one of the biggest subs on Reddit, but having trouble taking off here.
Same thing for every single-game community. Dota's deserted. Also things like patientgamers is lowering in activity.
Well, you're in luck. There already are lemmy versions of those subs!
I would love to see GameDeals and googleplaydeals on lemmy.
Headphones is prob the biggest. City-specific ones would be nice but, seems unlikely
Astrophotography Printedcircuitboard
Certainly not the meme ones.
Seriously tho, Sysadmin and career related stuff in general, and fantasyfootball
r/intp. Also miss the active python and data analysis subs, I know there are python communities here but they seem quiet.
r/personalfinance was a great one to read about financial situations and see advice given for each. Doesn't seem like c/personalfinance has had any posts for days.
/r/spacex
r/credibledefense
/r/videos that's where I used to get my daily shot of youtube. But with youtube starting to block ablocker it might be good for me to quit.
/r/fixedbytheduet would be nice as well, but lemmy doesn't allow uploading videos :(
Anything related to electronic music! I haven't found any. Anyone seeing Zeds Dead this week?
I feel like βfanβ communities like Star Wars and Halo have a better chance at being positive communities with constructive discussion on lemmy because the community here seems like they want to genuinely care about discussion. Those types communities got to a pretty awful state on Reddit because the loudest βcriticβ would always receive the most upvotes, despite usually having overly nitpicky and poorly thought out criticism.
Some of the smaller subs I used to frequent don't see as much traffic as I would like. Like cycling and edc. I just have to be the change I want to see. I will I swear, just need to fine some spare time.
r/fountain pens and the sheer volume of cat subs will be missed the most from me. Hopefully lemmy will grow to the point where troubleshooting help becomes as easy as it was on Reddit because, as many have said before me, google sucks nowadays.
