Literally sky or heaven dog, it's that mythical dude with a red face and a huge nose, tengu is the english translation of the name
I frequently see in sci-fi worn down letters and other signage. I don't think that makes sense, they are in vacuum not in a desert.
Not an expert, but I think micrometeorite abrasion is a thing.
