I agree! Infinite scrolling would be great!
The easy account switching, user tagging, and infinite scroll were major QoL gems. We'll get that shit here someday soon
Since the last update the Jerboa is pretty smooth at switching between accounts.
Yeah, that's a pretty dope feature - is there anything like that on desktop tho?
I don't really see the need. As each instance has its own login all you need is a few bookmarks....I must be missing something tho

Res was needed because Reddit is closed source.
Lemmy is open source. So we can influence the UI
But there are indeed some web UI / web app projects for Lemmy. I am sure there will be more.
