I knew he was successful (even before Tulane), but didn't realize he has the 5th most all-time wins among active FBS head coaches. I think he's a home-run hire for UH.

There's also this press release from today where he was officially introduced.

That's sad. I was hoping he'd retire at Tulane after that long of a run.

Wasn't he on the short list for some bogger jobs last year? I know UH is Power 5 now (though in a Super 2 world), but I wonder what made this the move to make.
