Samsung Smart Switch is your best option. It is probably the most 'complete' backup solution that doesn't require rooting.
Would maintenance mode be enough for repair shop?
I guess it would if the repair shops respected it. I am using my insurance to get the screen fixed so I have no idea where it ends up. They just have a big disclaimer which mentions that you should make a backup because the phone will most likely be factory reset.

There is the Samsung Smart Switch which in theory allows you to backup your phone. But is practice it is far from complete.
iOS has always been superior in this regard. For Android I have heard some rooted options, but I have never tried those myself.
As far as I know Samsung makes it incredibly difficult to unlock the bootloader of the phone. And I think it's the only way to do a full backup.
Most of the options described here in the comments are partial backups.
When I was doing this I was using Nandroid to get a full backup and restore it later on.
You could try to check my guide here which, while it is about modding a specific device, in the backup section the advice could be used for ~all android devices.
You probably don't have a custom recovery installed or root access, so your options are very limited (but at least there are some🙂). You'll probably have to find your way on using helium backup combined with a random apk backuper. It's gonna be tedious.😅
PS. ~Always confirm that your backups work and can be restored, by following your restore process!!
I've used Samsung Switch for several phones. Saves ask the info I want. Texts, photos, contacts, apps, wifi info, etc. Restoring it is easy as well.
I use Nova Launcher so I just save it and restore afterwards on the new phone and the same layout is there.
Do you have a Samsung account friend? My Samsung phones have been destroyed in the past and even on a free plan everything has virtually been backed up. If you're unsure, trying logging onto Samsung. Any major mobile retailers can check for this as well.
I do have a Samsung account, but it was my impression that it's not a full backup of the phone. E.g. only apps from Galaxy store is backed up, so i would have to download all apps again from Google play store
My experience in the past friend ( and I don't want to condone this just incase, this is simply my experience) has been that when transferring to a new phone, virtually everything has been returned including pins, fingerprints and the actual app data themselves EXCLUDING the Secure Folder on Samsung, I think that's exclusively physical storage vs. Cloud.

I'll have to try that out, but I would still have to make a separate backup of everything - Just in case... I wouldn't trust this process until I have tried it out.
Search "backup" on your device, there are 3 native options, one using google drive, other using samsung cloud, and one with Samsung's smart switch.
