A Leicestershire-based company called Hedkayse, who initially specialised in cycling helmets, have designed a rugby headguard that, according to data ratified by Imperial College, London, reduces the force of direct head impacts by up to 85%.

I immediately dislike how much digging through their site it takes to see it on a real human head, https://www.hedkayse.com/#_

Makes me suspicious that it looks super awful or that it's not a finished design.

Sounds like an actual helmet to me, which nobody should want in rugby

Yeah, the article should've included some, but they're not hard to find on the Hedkayse website, e.g. this one:

A mannequin head wearing a Hedkayse Headguard, which resembles a traditional rugby scrumcap.
