Suzanne Vega's Luka is a very upbeat song about a child who is being abused and apologizing for the noise while asking people not to help.

And as a bonus, Here's To The Night is about one night stands but is usually played in situations that are meant to be memorable for couples

when he runs across my ceiling the entire thing runs through my brain.

i was in school when it hit the radio, and we all had to to do reports/papers on child abuse. like half of us werent living it.
