Tbh, pussy isn't even on the "curse word" list in our house.

We've always taken a fairly practical stance on our kid cursing. They have to learn when not to curse, and how to remember to limit their language, so there's a no cursing rule that's enforced by pointing and calling them noob, which is an in joke for the family. Then they have to either drop a dollar in the swear jar (which can be used for school supplies only), or drop and give me twenty push or sit ups (their choice).

But, pussy isn't on the list any more. There was a convincing argument that anyone who has one of them should be exempt, and that it no longer has the same "bad" context in that it has been shifting to a casual slang term more than an outright "dirty" word.

definitely, it's annoying how it's sort of a 2010's feminist position to be sort of annoying about saying the correct word. slang is a perfectly cromulent thing; pussy just sounds right. like a cat

Kinda slang/profanity in general.

The norms around deciding that things like 'pussy' are magically more offensive than its synonym 'vagina'; or 'shit' to 'poop'; or 'gosh darn it' to 'god damn it'; etc... It's just silly.

I can kinda get religious folks not wanting to say 'god damn it' cuz for them it is magically more offensive because they literally believe in magic, and their magic book says not to swear in the dude's name... so... fine, you do you. But even through that filter, the rest of them are still on the table - I mean, god's name isn't 'fuck', so who cares about dropping the occasional f-bomb?
