Would've hoped they'd use the Sphere for more than just a glorified ad board.

The sphere just looks like it is there for looking good on shots. Not really sure how useful it will be for anything else.

I hoped to see some cool graphics. Anything but ads.

Yeah maybe it can have the leader board on it so that anyone in Vegas can see but that would be against the monetary interests of FOM πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ

But it is just a glorified ad board.

Not sure what else you think they use it for... Especially in F1, in which adverts whizz around a track surrounded by other adverts.

It's Vegas!

What would you really expect? Money-in is all they care about. Interesting doesn't equal money-in.

How long will FP3 be? 9 minutes? 90 minutes? Could be anything!

I wonder how dirty the circuit will be from being reopened and how fast it'll return to form

Do they close the the roads on other city tracks for the entire 3 days? I get it’s a pain but seems like a good way to avoid a lot of the issues. But it’s a city track the city should be ready for detours and shit for a weekend. Idk seems like poor planning on Vegas point.

Albert Park is closed for like 2 weeks before the race, but I guess it's a low traffic area regardless, it's not exactly the strip.

They do for Baku and for Monaco as far as I understand. I dunno about the rest. It sure seems so at Singapore from what I can tell

That’s what I thought. It looked like Singapore and Monaco were shut down by the pictures. I have a feeling this could be move to Macau if Vegas is a shit show.

@wes If anything similar to FP1 happens again then F1 is in serious trubble around here

Gimme a "2"!

Gimme a "0"!

Gimme another "0"!

Gimme a "5"!

What does it spell? Commercial suicide!

As always, biggest losers are the fans. At least there's two others on the calendar rather than just the one this time round.

I hope they got those drain covers fixed, 20 cars pounding over them for 2 hours scares the crap outta me, If Sainz and Ocon driving over them once wrecks two cars completely.

They ran FP2 for 90 minutes without issue shortly after covering with cement, I'd say those won't be an issue now
