I really miss these models and when they were Strom troopers with hellguns. A lot cooler.

Rules
- Keep it civil.
- No memeposts/shitposts. Memes are great but direct them to grimdank.
- Please mark any posts containing realistic nudity or realistic excessive gore/violence as NSFW; this rule mainly applies to cosplay and realistic drawings rather than miniatures. Being that 40k is inherently violent, this is a judgement call, and mods may occasionally request posters add tags.
- No political or social cause agenda pushing.

My first Stormtroopers were the beret guys and they actually had hotshots. It’s kind of funny when I see nostalgia for hellguns over the “new” hotshot name.
See I always associated hotshots as lasguns with overcharged packs. I think that was an upgrade in early edition of necromunda. And you had a "gets hot!" Mechanic.
You’re totally right that hotshots have packs. The original stormtroopers with hotshots had backpacks and power cables. They were replaced by the metal minis with hellguns, now current models are back to hotshots. The original original style, first plastics same design as the first metals.
I’ve had wannabe grogs (not you!) try to correct my usage of hotshots as the original stormtrooper gun because they think these metal minis are the originals.
