A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The best ones are thoughts that many people can relate to and they find something funny or interesting in regular stuff.

yeah... I'm not sure I agree with this one either. I had plates of meats and cheeses 30 years ago... I still have them from time to time now... I'm not sure that it's going away at all if it's not budged from my life in any way in the past 30 years.

Same. I had to look up what a charcuterie board even was!
Reminds me of the instant crudite gag on Futurama, where Leelah just drops some water on a little tablet and a crudite platter appears.
I remember them being a fad 10 years ago too.
I'll still be enjoying adult lunchables.
Charcuterie boards are peak lazy cuisine.
"You mean I can just eat meat and cheese and nuts and fruit on the cutting board I used to cut them up... and it's somehow fancy?"
My gf has been into them lately.. it must be popular on TikTok 🤷
yeah it's a big thing to have a party where you bring a themed drink for everyone which isn't quite the same as charcuterie but is adjacent

I love a good board still.
When I was growing up, and my parents were too tired or too pressed for time to put together a meal, we'd have luncheon meats and cheeses with crackers and bread, maybe some salads and call it a "cold supper". Now it's "charcuterie" and it's fancy.
