I've always read mixed things about them and for some reason I always thought they were thousands of dollars. Finally decided to look them up and to my surprise they're not lol. Don't ask how I got that in my head.

I went ahead and ordered one to see if it helps. A lot of my pain is muscular and I will have muscles that will seize up for basically days. Even if this can relieve some of it, I'll be happy.

Any have experiences with them?

I got one from the VA and gave it a good shot, didn't really work much for me though.

Knew another guy who loved his and used it all the time.

Go into it with an open mind assuming it'll work, for some people it really does.

I love mine, but it also depends on where your pain is located. Because it's muscular, you're in luck.

I find it helps while it's on. It helps distract me from the pain, and can help force those muscles to constrict to the point of exhaustion so that they can finally relax. Although a lot of times I end up more sore than anything after the fact so YMMV

Have used one for muscular problems in the past with success. The pads have to be in the right place, and the settings right before it works properly, so there may be some experimentation needed.

If it's running and a pad comes loose you get an 'exciting' shock.

Don't think they can be used permanently.

If it's muscle spasms, have you checked for electrical problems like a trapped nerve?

Good luck with the pain management.

I've gotten spinal MRIs and they don't show any issues with nerves. But, besides an emg on my legs nothing else has be done to check nerves. One odd thing I have with a nerve is in my left arm. If I simply point my left arm and fingers out I start to get nerve pain through my armpit into some fingers, as I extend my arm it gets worse. It's a nerve that runs down your collar bone into your armpit. Have an apt with my neurologist about some issues and I'm including that next week.

He tends to attribute all of my issues with CIDP but I feel like some of them aren't related and something else is going on. Not sure but I'll see if there's something else he could check for on me for that nerve

Well, some organs/glands are able to be soothed by tens. I personally have used one for my pancreas and it seems to work well when there's pain signals I can sort of map out to areas on my skin. Didn't work great, and since it's been over a year I've tried other things that work better, like fasting. Occasionally if my arm or other appendage has muscle spasms or soreness then I can use it and it helps.

I have never tried them, haven't even heard about them before now. I look forward to hearing your review of it, take as much time as needed.

I love it. It's really nice. Took a bit of testing with all the different options and places to put it but it feels great. The settings I like most feel like a massage. I use 4 pads at once. My right side is tighter than my left so I have to use less power on the right. My favorite is on my upper back on the shoulders. This is the one I got

Might only be useful for those with muscle related pain.
