Got myself a proper full-time job, my apartment got renovated, and I've ended up becoming an Evocati.
My life isn't particularly interesting when it comes to large-scale changes.

I failed highschool, got a shitty job, lost shitty job, got shitty job, quit shitty job, unemployed, got shitty job, didn't get paid for shitty job, unemployed, started community college. If only I hadn't Kickstarted a video game, maybe my life wouldn't be such a mess, lol.
Got a master's, changed careers, changed jobs and finally landed a dream job. Also got married and moved countries. Unfortunately I don't have a gaming PC here so hopefully I'll be back in my home country by the time squadron comes out or I'll be building one here and shipping it back with me.
I am still alive, all my family members are still healthy and fine, so everything is good.
I even sold some of the packages I bought years ago for ridiculous sums at ebay.
When I backed during Kickstarter (I missed the first 10k backer numbers, but I am still within 100k) I was a department head in a pharmaceutical company (the job title would be director now), had a lot of money and 14h of work related time a day. In 2017 I reached Legatus Navium ranks.
Nowadays, I changed my job and company without being forced to, took a year off for myself without working and work now in a different company as a usual employee in part time. I live healthy, bicycle a lot and work 15min away where I live instead of driving 3h a day to get to a company 60km away by car in daily traffic jams. I am there for my kids and parents and are more happy by far than I was, when I backed for the 'new Wing Commander Privateer game', that I rediscovered playing with my new co workers ("whaaaat? YOU are a Legatus Navium whale? Are you insane?").
Game wise: started with Pathfinder package in 2016, origin315. Now I'm quite a bit further in... I like the ships that have utility vs combat ships... And there are quite a few of those.
Personally: sold a house, moved to apartment, bought a house, moved cities twice, made 3 career changes and in a fairly decent spot now. Very different from where I was.
I’ve had a whole marriage that lasted shorter than since I’ve backed this game.
Same old story: Changed careers, mortgaged a house, got married, had kids, burned out of 99% of games I used to enjoy. lol.
