Because it's a software middle an that injects itself into search results in a frustrating way. I'd love it and would use it all the time except I constantly run into it in a way where instead of just going to the link, it tries to force me to sign up or log in, and blocks the actual link with it's nonsense.

The product itself seems great but they're customer acquisition process is way to aggressive and they have to be manipulating Google to get the SEO over the actual original source of the match.

This is how I feel, too, I use it on occasion and it's actually nice as a digital pinboard, but I despise every other thing about pinterest. Now I use kagi and just have it blocked pretty much.

Blame Google's algorithm for putting it in front of the wrong audiences. Or perhaps, blame Pinterest for SEO-engineering that outcome? I'm not sure.

I have visited Pinterest over a hundred different times and I have never once left satisfied. I find it on Google searches, and it's always like stumbling into a crazy person's attic. There's something related to my search, with no context, in the middle of a dozens of completely unrelated things. No links. No information. No sources. Why does this even exist? Who knows!

It makes no sense to me that these pages are public, let alone indexed. It seems like it should work more like email or evite or something: either personal or shared to a small number of people.

I like to see what I'm getting into before creating an account. If an account is required at the door, that just says they want to track you and analyze every action. No thanks, at least bait the hook before you try to catch me!

Because when I search a subject and Pinterest links to a result that has absolutely zero value other than tricking me into thinking it did

I dislike it for it's jumbledyfuck random structure, personally... randomness is nice when you wanna randomly wander for content, but they went a little too far with the concept :)

I liked Pinterest because categorizing images of my fandom is fun. However, their bullshit with advertisement is insane.

On the app, you see around 4 images a time. 3 out of 4 are advertisement gifs, videos or images of companies like Disney. Fuck their bullshit.

EDIT: Solution seems not to work unfortunately. So close to just quit using the entire shit.
