Rules are generally the same as on the sub, except you don’t have to worry about flairs or spoiler flags since it doesn’t look like Lemmy supports that on posts.

There is a comment spoiler tag, though—it looks like an exclamation point with a triangle around it—so you can use that to hide major spoilers if you like. Use your discretion. Spoiler tagging isn’t required, but it is a nice thing to do.

Beyond that, just make sure your posts are about The Good Place and that you try to be good to each other. It’s better than not trying.

This is quite a large spoiler for Series 4, so it will be tagged.

spoilerDid Shaun kill Simone?

It seems oddly coincidental that she died just in time to take part in the experiment. Suspiciously so.

Does anyone else think The Bad Place had a hand in her death, or is just me?

No, not really.

We already know that time in the afterlife is not linear or directly correllated to Earth time, so Shaun could have just picked her up when she eventually died, and moved her back.

With Jearimy Bearimy being what it is, everyone who has ever died might already be in the afterlife, everything is just linearised to not cause our heads to explode. It's just a matter of moving them.

This was Schur’s answer:

The only problem we really faced, when we came up with the idea that Simone died on Earth and thus gave Shawn the idea to disrupt Michael's experiment by using people the Four Cockroaches had personal issues with, was that...it meant Simone died tragically young on Earth. We decided to just make a passing reference to that and not explain it, because it would be, you know, sad. In our heads it was some freak accident, akin to Eleanor's death but not as on the nose regarding the way she lived her life.

With Jeremy Bearimy the Earth timeline was made largely irrelevant anyway so I don’t think the Bad Place would have had to intervene directly to make her part of the experiment.
