Olivia Chow is now running a city more populous than several provinces. I don't live there but I think that's notable.

... being the most populous city in Canada ... I have a feeling that anything she does will be talked about in Canadian Politics across the country for next few years

I agree. I hope she does great and sets an example for every other major city in the country.

It's a really hopeful sign of things to come ... it's also bitter sweet when you think of what her husband would have influenced and accomplished by now ... not to take away from what she is capable of herself - the two of them would have been a powerhouse ... if Jack were still with us, we would be in a completely different country arguing about so many different things at this point in time ... as it is, she is a breath of fresh air in a world full of political smoke

the two of them would have been a powerhouse So true! I kept a copy ofJack's final speech ('Choose hope not fear...'), such an open, honest, statement. Still makes me tear up. I really hope she does well.
