I switched to apple years ago but I’ve been craving android. My mac book screen broke so I took that as an excuse to buy a tablet. I didn’t need anything too expensive so I thought that was a good choice. Bought a new one off eBay for $200. I’m still waiting for it but I’m excited.

I was even thinking about setting up Remote Desktop and using my tablet for my computer lol. I also use hoopla for comic books but my phone screen is too small for it so I’m also excited for that. Overall I’m hyped to have an android device again.

I know it’s not the greatest thing in the world but that’s not what I’m looking for

I love my S6 Lite. Perfect little tablet at a reasonable price point. I rooted it easily and its been my daily driver since it came out. Still see no major reason to upgrade.

You have any tips for rooting it? I’ve been out of the android game since like 2017/2018.

I used to root my phone but it’s been a long time

It's been a while. I just followed the XDA guides. https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/howto-unlock-and-root-the-galaxy-tab-s6-lite.4132289/

Check around that site to see if there isn't a more recent method.

Thanks I’ll check it out. What did you do with your device with the root?

Also any chance you have tried the keyboard with trackpad for it?

Titanium backup and Ad Away are my fave but plenty of other things.

I've got a keyboard with track pad. I bought it a couple years ago, so I don't remember where I got it from. Pretty sure its not a Samsung one. It's decent and works to write longer emails on the road.

I just recently bought one of these for about $240 new from Bestbuy. The last tablet I had was a Nexus 7 and it is starting to show its age so I finally put it to rest. The last time I used a stylus on a device was back when screens were resistive and not capacitive. I was insanely impressed by how much better this technology is. It's so responsive that I can't even notice a delay in moving the stylus to stuff appearing on screen. For reading it is a little bigger than I'd prefer, but I couldn't find anything smaller with a powerful enough processor.

Great choice! I have a Tab S6 Lite as well, but it's the earlier iteration with the slower chip. My daughter uses it now and it's easily good enough for her. Even my Tab S4 is performing fine, all these years later.

I've got an s6 lite (first release) too. I mainly use it for drawing. Infinite Painter is great, and Krita is really powerful as long as you keep the canvas size reasonable.

Glad @mikestevens enjoys it and cal. It seems like I ordered a good one
