If their phone stuck in Android 11 in 2023, I doubt there will be any updates from OnePlus.
Exactly, this mostly about the Oneplus 6 and 6T
It's easy enough to install LineageOS on OnePlus phones. Would rather do that than deal with shady stuff like this.
Definitly an option, but this is a way to keep OxygenOS for those who want it.
This would require unlocking bootloader and/or rooting i presume? Could i still use my banking aps and google pay?
It requires unlocking the bootloader. No issues with my banking apps but I don't use Google pay. I think to use Google pay you'd need to install Magisk for root and install a module so that you can bypass safetynet.
Wow, I was likely going to get one of these as my next phone.. .bullshittery like that has changed my mind.
