This is one of two options if you like Ultium (GM) but want to use phone mirroring. Honda has refused to pull CarPlay and Android Auto like GM is doing.

The other is the Acura variant of this same vehicle, though of course it has Acura design cues.

I like both, though for now we already have an AWD ID.4 that we love. I’ll be looking at these, though, for the future if we need to replace the VW. Hopefully they’ll have amber rear signals (the VW doesn’t) and allow temperature display in Celsius (my past Honda didn’t).

Looks like lots of nice buttons on that console!

85kWh / 300mi. That comes out to 28 1/3 kWh/100mi, not bad if it's accurate.

And good touch that they're offering a home 11kW charger with it.

Or 3.5 miles per kWh, if that's your preferred unit of measure.

That said, it's nice that they aren't skimping on the included EVSE but hopefully it's adjustable. 11kW is pretty high, and needs to be hardwired with some pretty big (expensive) wire. In reality, few people really need it even though everyone thinks they do. If you figure roughly 10 hours of charging overnight (most people have more time than that) you can go 10-100% with only 7.7kW (32A @ 240V). And let's be honest: most people won't do that much driving in a typical day, certainly not back to back with a short turnaround time.

Family is looking to get a new car (EV) within the next year or two. Been heavily waiting to see what Honda is going to come out with. I see the DC charging is slower at 155 kw. Range doesn’t look too bad. What are others thoughts on pricing & specs?

the longer you wait the better a price and performance deal you will get.. competition is getting fierce and demand is whiffing so far.

Seems like a pretty fair deal to me. I currently drive a car with slightly less range and max 100 kw fast charging and I honestly don't really need more than that. Sure, for long trips you'll need to stop a bit more frequently and wait a bit longer, but I like leaving my chair and taking a break from driving after two hours. And I rarely go for long trips where I'd need to fast charge at all. If that's you, I think this car would be a good fit.

Thank you for that insight, Strider! It will primarily be a commuter car into work and on rare occasions a longer trip for vacations. I do like to factor in the stopping, stretching, break, etc. so I will keep that in mind for the longer trips. Thanks again!

As the owner of a 2002 Honda CR-V, I really want to be intrigued by this car. Since I want the next car purchase to hopefully be for a vehicle that would be kept for another long haul, I think it’s worth waiting until 2025 or 2026 to see what Honda’s own engineered EVs will look like. They will also probably have NACS as well. I’m sure the Prologue will get a lot of buyers though as they enter the EV space.
