Chrysler 5.2L Magnum v8
Came in mid to late 90s Dodge SUVs and pickup trucks.
Fuel injected, made barely 200hp and a little more torque and got single digit mpgs.

I run a 5.9L version of this in my ZJ, 245 HP. 400k without a rebuilt yet.
IDK about single digit MPG, but it ain't great. Probably about 18 on the highway.
Winner so far! I'll just give 60 points and debate the 30 horsepower difference later 😂 thanks and this is really great work!
When I figure out what I can give you other than the kudos you deserve, you'll get it!
I'd mail out small engine parts, sockets or other random mechanic related stuff if people would take em!
I had a Dodge Dakota with one of these. Despite the specification mine definitely didn't make 230 HP. Great little engine though, my main complaint was the fuel economy and the fact that the engine was rusting away just like the rest of the truck.
Recommend replacing the barrel intake plenum with a flat plane intake manifold, you'll make way more power.
I was just yanking your chain regarding the horsepower! We had a Dodge Durango with almost that same setup and other than telling you I wish it had more power I couldn't tell you exactly what it had at the time but that's been over a decade ago. I will say it had adequate horsepower for what we were doing but at the time we were just looking a bunch of tools around and not really carrying much that was heavy but it would bog a lot under a load.
I do appreciate the advice regarding the plenum and I'm always wanting to learn more things like that! For now this particular engine sits but if I ever drop it in anything and get serious with it I will be sure to take your advice, thank you!
I had a 1995 ZJ with a 5.2, it would get 18 mpg on average. I think it had 220 horsepower.
Looks like a big 4. 2.4L? Imma say no later than 2010, like 2006? And given mech fan american?
Close but no cigar! But still,
Kudos
Looks like an old 1990's Mopar V8. 5.2 or 5.9 liter.
Hot dawg scuba Steve! have you had one of these or are you just that damn good?!
Kudos
Some of column a, some of column b.
I had a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 5.2 engine. Pretty dependable actually.
They are great engines! Never had any problems out of the engine itself that I recall. Thanks for participating
En engine ? Svrap. It not a rb26
Correct! What would you like? You definitely have the respect!
I see some fuel injectors... I think 😹
Correct! 10 points! And
Kudos
I can tell you what it isn't lol
What isn't it? But also correct! 10 points!
It isn't a flat 4 Subaru engine lmao
Kudos!
