Those hazy days of running around in circles with auto aiming trying to kill the tiger in the snow caves. Then later when the game got it's 3Dfx patch to run in glorious hardware mode.

Surely the best way was to just jump left and right while shooting constantly.
Those look good but I have to say I've been spoiled by Resident Evil's remasters, the comparison is a bit painful in terms of effort. But I guess there's only so much you can do with the Switch's hardware, it's not like it's that more powerful than a Playstation 1 ( Ν‘Β° ΝΚ Ν‘Β°)
Oooh, I was too young for the originals so nice to see them bring them back. Also as a child of the 90s I love the classic campy badass Lara over the new younger realistic version.

They're garbage compared to the originals.
In the originals, you actually raid tombs.
Tomb Raider 2013 is an excellent M-rated take on Uncharted that happens to star Lara Croft. While the actual "tomb raiding" is present, the tombs are physics puzzles that are side-quests and are distinct from the core plot, which is mostly combat and the occasional puzzles and exploration.
Also, Lara using ~~a shotgun and~~ assault-rifle seems wrong.
Lara had a shotgun and assault rifle in the original games. What seemed wrong to me was the DIY bow and arrow and reliance on the ice climbing pick.
Ah. I never got far enough in the classic games to see those weapons. It's just the new games had a serious tonal problem with "this is serious movie game and killing has real gravity now massacre 30 guys with an AR". It just feels like it would have managed to capture the grounded tone it was going for better if it'd stuck to the pistols and bow.
She always had a shotgun. Uzis were my 7 year old favourites
So I just bought these on steam. Really annoying I'm going to have to buy again. Are these the upgraded versions? Tomb raider anniversary legend and what not. Or are these another HD version ?
Another version, with a discount for owners of the original games.

Yeah it'd be great if they gave us the updated versions like they did with the BioShock remasters when those came out. That said, I'll probably still pick these up for the updated controls.
Absolutely. I wouldn't have bought the previous ones. Control is awful
I still remember playing the first game thinking computer game graphics couldn't possibly look more realistic.
I loved playing these as a kid, not so much any since then, so Iβm pretty excited for this to revisit some childhood moments.
We already had TR1 Remastered, it was called Tomb Raider Anniversary.
TR2 was the best of the originals.
TR3 had limited saving and way too many bullshit instadeaths.
TR1 had pulsating flesh caves so theres that.
