Good luck! Haven't had the confidence to try it yet. I have a 256gb with a decent size sd card so it isn't that necessary, but if i had more I would probably dual boot windows
If/when you do make sure you have a screwdriver small enough fir the screws as they strip easy.
Good to know! Stripping screws is something I'm putting to do, and i always feel awful when i do it
Idk I got this because I wanted a portable Linux computer. I there will be a day in the next couple years that Linux will run everything and Windows will not be the one. Until that time. I'm still going with Linux.
Thats actually why I got mine as well! I just meant ive been pretty happy with just putting my games on my SSD so far, I think if I wanted to do more OS tweaking, that would be the push for me to go for the bigger drive. At the moment Im too nervous so just putting stuff onthe SD card
RIP
Well, it's only a 128. Those are cheap as dirt, it's about time you put in a bigger card.
I'm hoping the 1TB will be enough. It should I mean gosh dang that's a lot of space.
It is until it's not
At least that's how it was with me
A rite of passage.
F?
I just upgraded my SSD last week and this was all I could think about. I was scared that I would forget to remove my SD card the whole time 😂
What's funny is I had to pull my battery cable last Saturday and press the first thing I did was to take out the sd card.
Damn, another microSD card bites the dust. Sorry that happened to ya. Hopefully Steam Deck 2 repositions the SD card slot so this doesn't happen.
Yeah I was thinking about that today. Just cut out the bottom area in the backplate right under the sd card slot.
How did this happen? Is this an issue with the slot I'm unaware of?
If you have a micro SD in the slot, and then you take off the back case (which is what I assumed happened here because of the upgrading), it will snap the SD card in half. You just have to remember to remove your card before taking apart the deck
Yeah don't get so excited you forget the sd card 😅
