Recently lemmy.world admins have changed their policy for signups to their instance due to spam. While this is understandable and I don’t want to get into the details of it here, the policy change does mean that it may make it a little more difficult for new people to sign up and contribute to c/FinalFantasy.

So here’s a few quick pointers for any new people wanting to join in with posts and discussions.

Signing up

I’d still recommend signing up to lemmy.world if you don’t mind waiting for approval, but if you’d rather not do that, there are alternatives.

As Lemmy is built with fediverse in mind, it means you can sign up to any instance of Lemmy and have access to most other instances. Here are a few recommended alternatives where you can sign up:

A full list can be found on the Lemmy website.

Interacting with c/FinalFantasy

You don’t need to be registered to the same instance of a community to interact with it. You should be able to find us through your instances community search feature - Communities in the main navigation (at the top or in the “burger menu”).

Alternatively you can add /c/[email protected] to your instance URL, such as https://sh.itjust.works/c/[email protected], or to make it easier click this link to take you there.

Once you’re here from your instance, subscribe, post and comment to your hearts content.

I’ll update this with any other information as and when required.
