How can anyone rationalize a child being born under those conditions? This family can't even afford to take a week off from work, and now they have a baby that 100% is going to need government assistance to survive. Oh and pro birthers are working to cut that assistance as well. A whole family destroyed for what? Oh and states with exceptions for rape, health and incest don't have a process to receive those exceptions. So even if you are raped and become pregnant, whelp good luck navigating a process that doesn't exist before your third trimester.

It's pretty simple. They want poor, uneducated constituents that they can brainwash into voting against their own best interests.

It's really the only way the GOP has been able to survive.

Not to mention having no choice but to provide cheap labor for their businesses to exploit.

I think this is exactly what Alito meant by the "domestic supply" of infants available for adoption.

Then when challenged on the lack of a process to seek exception the response to doctors is, “well we wouldn’t go after you. Trust us.”. Right…

For what? Power. Simple as that.

For anyone wondering: 7th graders are usually 12-13 years old children!

How disgusting can a country be to force something like that on someone?

Land of the free? Yeah... sure...

Too true. What's bonkers is that rules on this vary state by state. You move across state lines, and sometimes it feels like you're in an entirely different country. I used to favor "States' Rights" and flexible, empowered local governments who could respond to nearby challenges more surgically than a larger, more lumbering government bureaucracy further away.

Looking back, I see that now that I was naive, and that what I had was an ideal, and wasn't the reality. Republicans always seem to turn "States' Rights" and "Local Authority" into a way to flout sensible Federal laws and do horrible shit like this instead of what they claim to be doing.

I'm glad to see you've "woke"n up to see what the Republicans' true aim is

Just like their #christofascist bosses want. Do not fool yourself into thinking any part of the #fascist #GOP has an issue with this.
