If you have a plumbing question please include a picture in your post.

If you have a question such as "does this look correct?" please include the code your area adheres to. If you're not sure please include state/province/country you're in. Codes can vary state to state and what's wrong in one area may be perfectly acceptable in another.

Just as codes vary, prices do too. That's why we won't discuss any pricing because there's so many factors that can't or shouldn't be conveyed to strangers over the internet.

Wow... I've never seen a saddle valve on a gas line. While I think people make a bigger deal about them than warranted when it comes to water lines I would NEVER use one for gas.

Nice work on the replacement. It looks very clean.

I added a saddle valve on a waterline for a fridge icemaker about 20 years ago. So far it’s been fine but I get more anxious about it over time. I’ve never been good with folder it pipes so I really wish I could hire someone to replace it

(Plumbers around here won’t take small jobs, nor even a bunch of small jobs as one medium. I had a guy quote me $3,000 because some nonsense about you can’t replace a saddle valve without re-piping to pvc)
