Like the title says, a navigation bar in the communities tab would be nice to jump/scroll to specific communities.

Apologies if this is already a feature and I just missed it!

Might be worth trying out the favourite option for those communities you frequent

A-Z navigation bar still has its own use.

I myself have many communities subscribed. If I want to visit something starts with Z and it is still not my favorite, I have a long scroll ahead.

With suggested feature, I can reach z easily.

You could always tap in top bar where it display your view type (home/all/local) has a little dropdown arrow next to it, you can then type Z, to see those communities listed

Voyager lists all the communities with z in the name (even z in the middle or end of the name).

Useful but not the same as the feature requested.

This would be ApolloParity and I know Memmy has implemented it. Is there an issue in GitHub yet? I can post screenshots if that’s helpful.
