It could be seemingly paranormal or simply perplexing. Just a story that sparks your curiosity.

The Dyatlov incident is still unsolved and ultra creepy.

There is a documentary about it from 2021.

Aren't there a few super plausible theories on this these days? A middle of the night snow slab slide, avalanche or high winds and hypothermia seem to be the agreed upon reasons this could have happened.

Still many questions left.

  • Why were the tents ripped from the inside?
  • Why did they leave all their warm clothes behind?
  • What's up with the radiation on their bodies?
  • Did they all lost their reasoning at the same time when the above mentioned avalanche happened (if happened)?

avalanches are a powerful force that fucks shit up. hypothermia makes people take their clothes off and act irrationally.

Vegas shooter. Biggest mass shooting. No motive?

This one still eats at me. They must have SOME idea behind why he did it.

i'm not big into that kind of conspiracy theories, but i'll bet a months salary that the feds have been involved and it got horribly wrong.

Why do people stay at reddit? So creepy!

[–] [email protected] 9 points 11 months ago

Why can't people here stop talking about reddit?

Probably the most popular and easiest one is whatever's up with UAP/UFOs. Maybe it's little more than some psychological phenomena with folks, but even then, the commonalities in what's observed/experienced are pretty fascinating.

More mundane ones would be whatever led to the universe's existence, earliest origins of life in the universe, and what spurs the emergence of consciousness. Those fundamental mysteries at the center of living being, I suppose.

Ever notice how UFO sightings seem to have dropped since everyone started carrying cameras in their pockets everywhere they go?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 11 months ago

Commonalities imply a similar misinterpretation of similar phenomena across sightings. So it has to be stuff that is common around the world such as airplanes.

The US government has officially came out of the closet already about UFOs but nobody gave a damn about it.

They confirmed the authenticity of videos where it is hard to tell what exactly is seen. The videos have been debunked as birds and plane exhausts very convincingly.

Somerton Man. It's likely not some big earth-shattering mystery but the background and how it played out is quite intruiging.

yeah, it's officially solved at this point.

What, no, as the article states, they're still figuring out what circumstances drove him to the beach that day.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago

"solved" in a sense of "who was he?". i've followed this case for about 15 years and there were the wildest speculations about who he was and what he might have done for a living. at this point it's - please don't read this a cynical - a case of "local man committed suicide halb a century ago" and i doubt that there will be unearthed much about why he did it since not even his own relatives missed him.

Why, of all the people that were executed during George Bush's Texas governorship, was Henry Lee Lucas spared?
