Any way to disable new posts appearing in the timeline? The constant layout shift is making the whole UX unbearable. (self.lemmyworld)

There is a rc for version 0.18 that fixes this, but it still has bugs. Currently, posts that are received by the web sockets appear on top and this feature will be removed in version 0.18.

I think using some apps helps, whether android or iOS

That's a bug, its not supposed to move like that, and they aren't even actual new posts.

Refreshing the pages until it stops happening works for me.
