Same, especially when it's a link to a community that I want to join, that's on a different instance than mine. Because then I can't just hit "join" afterwards lol
Jerboa
Jerboa is a native-android client for Lemmy, built using the native android framework, Jetpack Compose.
Warning: You can submit issues, but between Lemmy and lemmy-ui, I probably won't have too much time to work on them. Learn jetpack compose like I did if you want to help make this app better.

This is a known problem and has been addressed on GitHub:
Ah, okay. Thanks!!
If you use this syntax:
- !community@instance
- /c/community@instance
Then the upcoming release will handle it (forget if it's 0.0.34 or the one after it).
But for regular links like https://instance/c/community, that's not implemented yet, and I'm not sure if it's planned.
I have jerboa from the play store and when I see for example [email protected] it doesn't highlight the exclamation mark and instead when I click on it, it asks to open with an email app.
It's very hard to use [email protected] because there are only 2 things that happen:
-
Opens a new tab in the browser where I am not signed in and can't sub. This happens if someone linked the entire address so for my case: https://lemmy.world/c/[email protected]
-
Crashes. This happens if it is linked like this: /c/[email protected]
