The biggest life improvement for me was to get a bidet after reading about it on Reddit. It's been a game changer. It's so easy to clean up.

When I now have to go to a toilet without one I feel like a caveman. I bought the cheapest one Aliexpress, no bells or whistles, and installed it myself.

I worked in a house and the people just installed a toilet. It was like wifi Bluetooth LED self courtesy flushing automatic opening/closing.. it was the single dumbest fucking use of technology I've ever seen. I thought it was gonna pull some transformer shit or steal my passwords.. it's only redeeming quality was the bidet.

Wallet too probably, toilet paper where I am is prohibitively expensive. I‘m just intimidated by installing such a thing, but maybe worth looking into.

Install is very simple. I love mine so much.

We also installed one, and I can also agree that it is a game changer.

The installation process was easy enough.

The bidet we installed can keep the shir warm and now i am super mega spoiled. And also yes the cleaning part is awesome too.

I splurged on a Bidet with a heated seat, charcoal air filter, and a warm air dryer and it's the best money I've ever spent.

Literally the best purchase I have ever made.

I only recently bought a Luxe bidet seat attachment - it was a great purchase. I thought the cold spray was going to be jarring, but it's actually kind of refreshing. No mess to clean up anymore, just drying off afterward. Ours has a feminine sprayer too, my wife says it's great for post-coital and menses cleanup as well.

I feel gross if I have to use a public toilet now.

And just the cheap and cheerful Samodra rocks. I actually prefer it over the pricier tushy brand ones.

And the trio: faucet, bucket and dipper (tabo)

I splurged and got one where you can control the water temperature!

I’ve never been an “I can only poo at my house” person, but now I’m like “I can probably just wait…” I know what you mean when you say that not using one feels like being a caveman.

Agreed. Had to get a travel one to go with me on trips....

Where did you get one? I bought a travel bidet on Aliexpress but that was terrible, not enough pressure. After the nozzle broke off and fell into the toilet, I immediately binned it.

Not OP, but we bought ours (a Toto) from Costco.

I have bought like 8 "lux neo 120" from Amazon for myself, friends, and family. Have converted everyone that tried one. Saved me during the TP shortage during COVID. Only had one fail after years of use and lux sent me a new one for free. They are not fancy with heat and blow drying, but they have adjustable pressure and self cleaning modes. Seeing it currently for $36 in the US.

For travel, I use the panasonic portable handy " ‎DL-P300-A". Have taken it on 20 or so flights and numerous drives. Still on original AA batteries. Only downsides are small reservoir and pressure is on the weak side for me, but it is better than TP like a cave man. Seeing it for $80 on Amazon. Would recommend taking a water bottle when using it in public restrooms where you cannot access a sink for refills. Chose that one based on replaceable batteries and very compact for flights.

Ah didn't know there were battery operated ones as well. Here in NZ there aren't a lot of options. I see temu has some, for NZ25. Guess will give that a go. Thanks.

Best purchase I ever made was a bidet! My ass is spoiled! If you're on the fence get one 100% easy to install and saves a ton of TP

We put one on all three toilets when we bought the house and replaced the toilets. Now I just feel gross if I have to use a bathroom other than my own.

Just realize that a majority of people you meet are walking around with shit-stained asses.
